Kamala Harris

Vice President

Joe Biden announced in August 2020 that he was choosing Harris as his running mate for the 2020 presidential elections.

She is the fourth woman in American history chosen for a presidential ticket. On November 7, 2020, she became the first female, Black person and Asian American vice president when they obtained the majority of the electoral votes in the United States.

Symone Sanders

Senior Adviser & Chief Spokesperson

Sanders was the youngest presidential Press Secretary on record during Bernie Sanders's campaign. She is a Political Strategist and Social Activist, who was a former Cable News Network (CNN) political commentator. Sanders grew up in Omaha and graduated with a Bachelors's in business administration from Creighton University.

Elizabeth Alexander

Communication Director

As Senior Consultant for the Biden Harris campaign, Elizabeth E. Alexander strategized all of Biden's political appearances and advertisements. Additionally, Alexander has worked with Biden in prior years, as she served as Press Secretary during the Obama-Biden term.

Ashley Etienne

Communications Director

Etienne is the first woman of color to hold the position of Communications Director to the House speakers. She earned her Bachelor's in Political Science from Sam Houston State University and her Master's in Political Communications from John Hopkins. As the Communication and Political Strategist, she was the backbone of Trump's impeachment.

Pili Tobar

Deputy White House Communications Director

Tobar was born in Florida but grew up in Guatemala. She later returned to the United States to study at the University of Miami, where she graduated with a Bachelors in Political Science and a Masters in Public Administration. As Deputy Director and Communication Director for many Hispanic represented organizations, Tobar consistently prioritizes and advocates for minorities and immigrants.

Karine Jean Pierre

Deputy Press Secretary

Originally born in France, Pierre and grew up in New York and graduated from Columbia University. Pierre is very well versed in her area of expertise; during the Obama administration, she served as the regional Political Director for the White House Office of Political Affairs.

Additionally, she prides herself in representing the LGBTQ+ community within the communication teams. As the outspoken person she is, Pierre often speaks on the topic of human rights. It is because of her that Walmart changed some of its unethical practices.

Jen Psaki

White House Press Secretary

Psaki was born in Connecticut and graduated from the College of William & Mary. She left her role as a CNN political commentator to be part of Biden's team.

Formerly known as the Communications Director and Deputy Press Secretary for the Obama Administration, she will now oversee Biden's communication team.

Kate Bedingfield

White House Communications Director

Bedingfield served as the Communications Director for Vice President Biden during the Obama administration. In addition to this role, she was also an associate Communications Director, Deputy Director of Media Affairs and Director of Response. Her work on Biden's campaign made her one of the most influential people under 40 named by Fortune.
