Pollensa Day 2 - possibly....maybe.......who cares?
So it was day 2 and it was pretty much like day 1! Well....what do you do when you are on holiday? Not a lot.......and you keep repeating it!
But...they were up earlier today.....well....earlier than yesterday......and that was even after being out till midnight! And having been out for a walk this morning I can see why they were out so late! I present the evidence!
Anyway...they went for breakfast and made the most of it! Then it was off doe the usual walk....along the Pollensa beach from to the end of the bay! This is a two mile walk to the end of the road so four miles there and back. In the heat it is ok as it is on the flat....and there is always somewhere to stop for a drink on the beach!
The walk takes just over an hour....with stops to take photos.....and a drink....and the usual visit to the shop! Fruit for lunch today!
Then it was down to the pool for a topping up session of the tan! Well....when they say tan....they mean a very light tan! One, more than the other is more bothered about "the tan!" So a couple of hours or so out in the sun then it is back for a coffee and some fruit before yes......going back for more! Thanks goodness for the kindle and the puzzle book said one of them!
So....after the tanning session, and if it was me I'd ask for my money back, it was back to the room to see if Britain had progressed to the semis of The Davis Cup! They were just in time to see the third set tie break which was won brilliantly by GB to claim a 3-0 victory and a tie winning score of 3-1! After that it was off for the next walk along the line walk....only one mile each way this time....but going the opposite direction!
This walk goes along the narrower beach front and walkway but is busy with people sitting on the edge of the paths and the narrow beaches. The path meanders round the coast line to the naval port which blocks your way to Mr Roper's magnificent abode!
So out for dinner eventually at about 9pm! They picked a restaurant just along the front where they had stopped for a drink on their walk earlier! They had been there.....2 years, 51 weeks and 6 minutes ago according to the photo on the camera! And 'she' ordered the same thing....with its big skewer hanging contraption! I should really do comparative photos!
After a lovely meal they went along......to the ice cream booth......nothing if predictable.....and got a cone and had a walk along the harbour wharf! But it was chilly tonight for some reason so they are home by 11pm! They obviously didn't bump into their friends and got distracted by the demon drink!
They are back for a hot drink....but there are fireworks at midnight.....so they may head out again! Oh boy!!
