ROUND AND ROUND Maypole dancers weave ribbons around the permanent maypole in Scammon Garden on May 18. The Maypole dance is one of the Rites of May's oldest traditions, and it is performed around the world.

MARCHING IN MAY In the front, freshman Benjamin Hubbell, music teacher Ryan Hudec and freshmen Erik Sveen Erling and Elias Sveen Erling of the "Marching Maroons" lead the Rites of May parade on May 18. After practicing the pieces in band class, they volunteered to participate.

ONE VOICE Music teacher Ellen Everson conducts the lower school choir in on May 18 in Kenwood Mall. The performance began the festival after the ribbon cutting. Ms. Everson is retiring at the end of this year.
