Mazda MX-5 Cup racer Andrew List drives for his family owned team. Known as D2D Motorsports (Dare 2 Dream)the Rogers, Minnesota privateers are one of the most professional teams in the Series. Governed by the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) the Global Mazda MX-5 Cup gives sports car teams and drivers, like the List's, a platform to race within high-profile race weekends each season.

For each race weekend Mazda MX-5 Cup is partnered with a different professional Series, including IMSA’s WeatherTech, SCCA's iconic Trans-Am and, the ever popular INDYCar Series. This combining of Series strengths brings a large and diverse collection of fans to each event.

Race car #61 begins to take on more parts and safety specifications

It takes plenty of dedication from each team to compete in the Battery Tender Global Mazda MX-5 Cup Series presented by BFGoodrich. In addition to the many hours of building the car, and then the subsequent preparations before each race, Andrew List and D2D Motorsports must transports their car and equipment an average of 2,600 miles per event.

Racing on the track showcases an average of 32 cars and drivers. Two 45-minute races are featured during each weekend event, with plenty of side-by-side and bumper to bumper action. Many endorse the racing in the Mazda MX-5 Cup Series as the most competitive and exciting in all of North American road racing.

The first eight rounds of the 2016 Battery Tender Global Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich Tires has seen intense action, large fields and multiple race winners. The next race weekend moves the MX-5 Cup to VIR (Virginia International Raceway) when the Series joins with the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship for 3 days of competition. The MX-5 Cup races both Saturday and Sunday afternoon August 27th and 28th.
