The Westport Museum of History and Culture hosted a COVID-safe Holiday market, on Dec. 19 that featured local artists and artisans as well as items from the museum's own gift shop.
The market featured greeters at the entrance (left), individually wrapped refreshments and hot chocolate.

Tables interspersed throughout the market had an abundant amount of items for sale by the museum gift shop, including ones that reflected on Westport's history, or matched the holiday cheer such as holiday cards.

Some of the items the market sold were picture books depicting the history of Westport, and various different products from the museum's gift shop that appreciated Westport's history and matched the holiday and winter cheer such as embroidered pillows, and decorated napkins and mugs.

As I walked through the market, I was additionally able to see several unique types of products of great quality made by local artisans and artists.

Products such as hand-made jewelry and baskets were on display and up for sale.
Additionally products such as Enotre Olive Oil, Handmade by Sara crochet work and Jessica Ryan Fine Art Photography of shorelines along the Connecticut and Rhode Island coasts were available for purchase.

Other than the sales of several different types of products, the market also held a raffle for some of the products held at the market.

The raffle prize held different products from the market. The sign read: "All proceeds from the raffle go to funding award-winning exhibits, engaging online programming and the conservation of Westport's History," the sign read."
A roaming Santa also entertained the exhibit.

Overall, even though it had to be adapted to the COVID-landscape this year, the holiday market showed various interesting products while supporting our local artists and artisans and their unique products.
