One way that Levy has grown throughout the last 100 years is through acquisitions. This video includes sentiments from some of our Levy employees who came to the company through acquisitions. Play the video below to learn more about how has Levy has grown!
School's Out for Summer!
Leslie Ortiz (left) and Marissa Flowers (right) smile for the camera on their last day of school. In June, Leslie and Marissa completed their year of work study with Levy. Leslie worked with IT&S and Marissa split her time between HR and Accounting. Levy was lucky to host two amazing students through Cristo Rey High School’s work study program. This program focuses on teaching kids about important workplace skills like responsibility and determination. Levy wishes them the best of luck in their future endeavors! A Novel Impact
Casey Smith, from Quality Control, visited List Elementary School in Okemos, Michigan to deliver a Tonka truck full of books. The books were a prize from the Michigan Construction fundraiser, Truckload of Books. He delivered books about construction, building, architecture and engineering at the classroom's reading level. This year, Michigan Construction gave away over 1,300 books to classrooms across the state!

Go Green!
Australian Steel Mill Services (ASMS) has been involved with the Australian Slag Association (ASA) and University of New South Wales (UNSW) Civil Engineering Department throughout the development of a "greener" pavement. This road is a geopolymer material made with Ecocem provided by ASMS. The project is supported by Sydney City Council in hopes to successfully produce a greener and more cost effective way to make roads. Check out the video coverage provided by Nine News Australia!

Gleaner's Food Bank
Did you know that the founder of Gleaner's Food Bank, Gene Gonya, was also a founding member of Feeding America (originally called Second Harvest)? Founded in 1977, Gleaner's was one of the first food banks in the United States. Members of the Levy Finance department recently volunteered at the Detroit location. Levy employees helped sort and bag food that would be distributed to those in need. Gleaner's delivers 96,000 meals each day! It is wonderful that Levy employees continue to help those in need.
