BACON WRAPPED STUFFED jalapeños
These stuffed peppers are simply delicious and a snap to make. If you're having a crowd over for the big game these are a must-make.
Surprisingly, these are not ridiculously spicy. The reason is simple. We've removed almost all the seeds and veins--this is where the heat comes from. It's not a difficult to do, but we thought you would find it helpful if we showed you how to do it. Watch this short video and in less than a minute you'll be an expert! And here's a big tip: wear latex gloves.
Unlike revenge, our Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Jalapeños are a dish best served hot. A little further down we'll be showing you the best way to do that.

BACON WRAPPED STUFFED jalapeños
40 Single Servings
Prep time: 30 minutes/Cook time: 25 minutes
ingredients & Procedure
- Preheat oven to 350F
- 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese,
- 1 cup shredded quesadilla cheese (or shredded cheddar cheese)
- 20 fresh jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded (see video above)
- 20 thin slices of bacon, cut in half
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 40 small skewers (toothpicks work well, too)
let's stuff us some peppers....
procedure
Before you start stuffing and rolling, make sure your oven is preheating to 350F. Also, line a full size sheet try (cookie sheet) with foil.
With a fork, mash together the cheeses and parsley until well combined.
Using a spatula, scrape the cheese mixture into a bowl.
Now's the time to stuff the jalapeños. DO NOT over-stuff. The cheese will expand as it cooks. If you overstuff you'll have melted cheese everywhere. Got it? Go easy on the stuffing. About a teaspoon should do it.
Wrap a half slice of bacon around each stuffed jalapeño and secure with a small skewer (or toothpick).
Space uniformily on your sheet tray (cookie sheet).
Place in the oven and roast for 25 minutes, rotating the sheet tray halfway through cooking time.
While this is in the oven, let's chat about the best way to serve this to your guests...

Once you've removed the jalapeños from the oven, remove the skewers and carefully place them in one of the half sized food pans that's included with the Sterno Party Set. Place this pan in the water pan of the chafing dish. The edges of the pan might get a little bent while you do this. Just smooth them with a towel once the pan is in place..
This chafing dish accommodates two half-size food pans. In the other pan you see our Spicy Queso Dip. This recipe is featured in this series, as well. Click on the button below to get that recipe (hint: it's really good).
