THIS FIXTURE IS NOT ELECTRIFIED AND CONTAINS NO LIGHT SOURCE

We live in a world surrounded by objects. I believe that if we can give products an emotional feeling, we can then create a better relationship between the object and the user: good design can make the difference. In addition to its function, an object should be able to transfer a positive feeling when it is used...M.K.

Suns is a celestial-like decorative panel that acts to diffuse light and break sound. Designed by Tokyo & Valencia-based Mikiya Kobayashi, Suns is available in three sizes: small, medium, and large.

Japan is affectionately known as the ‘land of the rising sun’, and in Suns we find a handmade, circular wood panel that is characterised by a quiet and respectful beauty—an inherent Japanese quality. Without light or electrification, the Suns panel is made up of wood veneer and a metal canopy. Designed to hang at an angle, Suns is striking and stellar when placed in a cluster formation.
