SCHOOL RECORDS FALL! The sophomore sibling duo of Hannah Rieders and Madeline Rieders paced the Lyons efforts at the 2019 New England Division III Championships at Williams College last week. The pair competed in the 5000-meter run as Hannah crossed the line in fifth with a time of 18:00.20. Her sister, Madeline was less than a second behind, finishing sixth with a time of 18:00.27. Not only were their efforts personal records, but both marks also eclipsed the previous Mount Holyoke school record of 18:05.30 - set 15 years ago by Johanna Thomas in 2004. Also adding an outstanding performance was senior Hannah Gershone in the 10000-meter race. She finished ninth overall with a time of 39:50.56. Her mark was not only an Open New England qualifying mark, but also saw her post outstanding splits. Through the open 5k of the event, she ran a 20:10, before notching a time of 19:40 over the final 5k.
