January Scroll Down for Ideas about using Technology to Engage Students

Who is the real you?

A reflection of our online presence vs offline. Great watch for you and your students.

Congratulations to Eric Corvers who won the last tech sharing contest and received a BOSE soundlink speaker. I firmly believe that now more than any other time in teaching we should be sharing all of the amazing stuff LKDSB staff do to engage students and give them a voice. Please join me and share something in your classroom. Email me a line or two with an image of what you do to use technology in a meaningful way in your building. This round (which should take us to March Break) I am offering two ozobots. There is a lot you can do with these tiny robots that links to spatial reasoning.

Book club is set to start soon. We will be reading Lifelong Kindergarten Cultivating Creativity through Projects, Passion, Peers, and Play by Mitchel Resnick if you wish to join or I have not contacted you to confirm, please email me. Our first date to meet has been moved to the first week of Feb to allow for reportcard writing.

Here are some great Google Classroom Tips from a recent blog entry find the link to the blog below to read even more!

Want to learn or share, contact me @emcedy or Melissa.Dent@lkdsb.com or text me at 519-466-4894. Or ask me to add you to the 21st Century team drive.
