Thinking about solar? Central Georgia EMC (CGEMC) makes it easy to add renewable energy at home, without installing or maintaining a single piece of equipment.
Cooperative Solar allows you to reap the benefits of clean energy by adding affordable and renewable solar power to your monthly energy mix. Even renters can participate!
Because our Cooperative Solar blocks have been in such high demand, CGEMC has expanded our solar energy portfolio to include solar fields across the state. This expansion comes with an increase in capacity, enhanced performance reliability, and no waiting list!
Cooperative Solar is available in 1-kilowatt (kW) blocks at an affordable $19 per month, per block. Best of all, you will receive a credit on your monthly bill for kilowatt-hours (kWh) generated by your solar energy block(s). Request your blocks today!
Unclaimed property
Visit our website for the list of unclaimed property from outstanding credit balances with CGEMC as of June 30, 2015. If you know any of these people listed below or their heirs, please have them contact our office during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 770-775-7857 or 1-800-222-4877. Unclaimed property will be sent to the state of Georgia.
Lead Lineperson Dean Earnhart and Member Engagement Coordinator Christy Chewning have been busy in the community. They represented CGEMC at both the Griffin Career Fair and Touch-a-Truck Day at M&S Magical Stars in Locust Grove.
The dreary day at M&S Magical Stars was made a bit brighter with CGEMC little lineperson hats. Thank you for inviting us!
Central Georgia EMC Announces Unclaimed Capital Credit Checks
In compliance with O.C.G.A. § 44-12-236 of the Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act, Central Georgia EMC is attempting to locate former customer-owners whose capital credit checks were issued in 2014, but have been returned by the U.S. Postal Service as “undeliverable” or have otherwise been unclaimed.
A list indicating the names of these former customer-owners can be found by visiting our website, or by viewing the list at our office, located at 923 S. Mulberry St., Jackson, GA 30233. The last possible date to claim these funds is August 28, 2020. If not claimed by this date, they will be designated for charitable uses as permitted by O.C.G.A. § 44-12-236.
