Music Trends (Color)

Music is a universal thing but trends still exist in its ever-changing climate. Royalty hidden in the normal, rose from the concrete, is the message for today's trend. Browns and yellows and golds give decadence to anything from a McDonald's meal to artistic paintings to gang violence. White is still a prevailing thought for purity or goodness that tickles music videos and album art from Westside Gunn's "Pray for Paris" to Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist's "Alfredo."

Fashion Trends (Color)

Fashion had lent itself to the minimalist, but this year it aims for the humanist. Simple clothing can make you feel like you're in a different time with a simple snap of moody blacks and cozy purples. Whites and pale colors accentuate the skin color. Printed textures of flowers and childhood fleeting make one feel like they are in the past yet still in the future.

Typography Trends (Color)

Rustic and minimalist is the wave for this year. Whether one is using curvy serifs or doing open minimalism, it always comes back to creating a sense of nostalgia and comfort. That's why fonts have shifted for more rounder shapes, more 70s and 80s inspirations, more David Rudnik-inspired futurism. Colors come and go but royalty never fades from out minds. Purples and golds and browns and yellows help the viewer see something normal transform to the abnormal.

All three together: Music, Fashion, and Typography.
