From our alarm at 7:00 a.m., to our third cup of coffee, to the number of steps we log on our smart watches, the important numbers of our daily routine are ingrained in our minds. So ingrained, that the other numbers fall through the cracks, to be forgotten. Here's your wake up call to the other important numbers in your life.

The cannon located on the grounds of city hall is actually the only prototype of a double barrel canon in existence. It failed and was never used in combat.
Jittery Joe’s was originally named after “The Simpsons” mentioned a diner named “Jittery Joe’s” in an episode that aired in 1994. The owners did a name search, and when no trademark appeared, they decided to take the name.The first Jittery Joe’s was started next to the 40 Watt Club and many celebrities guests helped create the buzz, including: Michael Stipe of R.E.M., the B-52s, comedians Penn and Teller and many others. There are now nine Jittery Joe’s locations within ten miles of the University.
Fifth largest college stadium on campus in the nation, Sanford Stadium seats 91,780 fans and foes alike.
The Chapel Bell was originally rang for religious services, class changes and in emergencies. Now, the bell is rung to mark athletic victories, special occasions and sometimes just for fun. The first reference of the Chapel bell being rung in celebration of a victory was on December 1, 1894, in the Red & Black newspaper. This was in response to UGA’s victory over Auburn 10-8 in Atlanta.
The black iron fence around north campus was built 168 years ago to keep livestock off campus.
At the University of Georgia, you often see a few furry friends frolicking around campus. These aren’t normal dogs. They’re heroes in training. UGA students work with the Guidedog Foundation for the Blind based in Smithtown New York, spending 12-15 months training dogs to become puppies with a purpose. There are around 90 dogs and close to 300 people involved in the program in Athens. The puppies are estimated to be worth $60,000 at the end of their training, but are given to those in need for free.
The 47 columns at Memorial Hall commemorate the 47 felled UGA alum soldiers during World War I.
For 60 years, a pants-less war waged between freshman and sophomore male students until the 1960s, called the Shirttail Parade.
