Every Step Makes a Difference

Shields For the Cure joined thousands of others in San Diego to raise funding and awareness of a disease that impacts generations of families.

The Walk raised

6.3 million dollars

for breast cancer research.

There was lots of laughter and a few surprises along the way

A Chicago Firefighter pushed his mother (a survivor) in a wheelchair for 60 miles and helped her walk across the finish line-a quiet hero.

SPD at this fantastic event

We have mad a commitment to walk until a cure is found or we are no longer able to! On to Dallas in 2019, with hopes that is the last one that is needed.
