ATAl tinkering lab DL DAV Model School, Pitampura, Delhi

In view of the current lockdown situation in the country, the school ATL has shifted to virtual platform with the help of Atal Innovation Mission ‘Tinker from Home’ campaign for the ATL students, encouraging them to leverage the ATL modules/ resources available online to keep themselves occupied.

Sipul Pandey of Class 7 Cambridge bagged second position in S&T Home Contest organised by National Science center under Junior Category.
Lakshay Gupta of class 9-H Winner of Online scratch competition organised by Stemrobo.
  • Swasti Sharma of class 6-H secured Third Position in VVDAV Darohar- Best out of E-Waste.
  • Kavya Sharma of Class 5 winner of Astro poster Challenge.
  • Shivansh Shah Chawla of Class VIII bagged First Position in The Slide Master organised by DAV, Paschim Enclave under Essence.
  • Anmol Goel of Class X-B Bagged Second Position in Essence- Model Your Innovation organised by Dav,Paschim Enclave.
  • Gautam Gupta X-E bagged first runner up position in Hash Event- Road Ahead organised by DL DAV Model School, Shalimarbagh for his Project Voice Controlled Elevator.
  • Hrishika of II A got First Rank in Tweak League Round 1 of Avishkaar League and Arjun Manocha of class Vi qualified for second level.
Project Showcase organised on virtual platform and live streamed on youtube on June 9.2020, which included projects done by students using Avishkaar Robotics Kits, Makerboard and online simulators.

Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing

Students of class 10-12 attended workshop in which they learned what Artificial Intelligence is and how it can solve complex real life problems. Students would have a hands on session on how to detect different objects and people in a video. They'd also learn how to make their own face recognition program.

Perfect Buddies-Cyber Bullying

Adobe Digital Disha

AIM(Atal Innovation Mission) in collaboration with Adobe Digital Disha , conducted Professional development workshops through a series of webinar on 'Digital Literacy and Creativity Skills'.

This workshop was conducted online by Adobe Experts for all ATLs across the Nation and our 14 teachers and students were awarded certificates for the same.

ATL Community Day 2020

A webinar was organised for students of the school as well as for the community in which various students from NGO Manthan SVK joined. The webinar was first in the row for ATL Community Day Celebration wherein we saw more than 105 students participating to learn. The focus of the webinar was to give the students a platform to start creating something of their own being it a 3D print, a scratch game,an app or talking about Python ,AI and machine learning .

The session was in association with Stemrobo . It was an amazing learning experience for all of our students and was a pleasure that the Mantan students are continuously in touch with the school ATL.

Session on Programming Humanoid Robots by Ms. Tanya Thukral, Mentor of Change

A Mentor session was organised for students of the school as well as for the community in which various students from NGO Manthan SVK joined.

The webinar was second in the row for ATL Community Day Celebration wherein we saw more than 90 students participate to understand Virtual Robotics.

Entrepreneurship Development Cell, IIT Delhi and Rancho Labs - a startup by IIT Delhi students and professor, organized an Online Workshop on Robotics for School students to impart technical knowledge from the early stage of life.

10 students from the school participated in it and were awarded certificates.

The Tide Turners Plastic Challenge

The Challenge has been developed with a series of levels and activities at each stage which must be completed in order to advance on to the next level. This is meant to push young people to become aware of the issues threatening the planet, as well as to engage them in a fun and challenging undertaking which can lead to a sense of personal fulfillment in taking responsibility for the planet’s well-being. Students recently participated and got the certificates for The Tide Turners Plastic Challenge Badge, supported and funded by the UK Government’s Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.

International Technology Day 2020

With the aim to Foster participation of girls in Tinkering activities, We at DLDAV Model School hosted a unique Challenge- TECH-GIRLS for students wherein only girls participated and submitted their innovations in the form of scratch games, MIT apps,chat-bot and prototypes.

Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Science has recently collaborated with our school, a small scale pilot with ~10 schools in India that have Atal Tinkering Labs in a remote environment.
