My intention for the negotiated trajectories project was to develop a prototype of an App to get involved with user experience and user interface. As this project needed to be produced in four weeks I decided to focus on a small showcase of the prototype I could fully develop in the future
Time management App
Along with research about user interface and time management, I created a thoughpool where I considered the tools I could integrate in my prototype. I reflected on my personal experience to decide what would be the better way to make a more efficient use of my time.
Production
To start with the production, sketched a prototype of the basics of the App. In this step I focused on user experience and reflected the pros and cons of the different tools
Once I had an idea of the basic tools I would include on the prototype, I started its digital production.
I created the first version of the prototype with simple assets, focusing mainly on user interface. I used a monochromatic colour pallet with simple gradients and added illustrations for a higher engagement.
On the second version I improved user accessibility by upgrading assets and screens that were not as clear on the first sketch.
Finally, I changed the colour scheme, I picked a multicolour pallet using illustrator colour guide to generate a more animated look and to make the user experience more efficient.
Using a multi color pallete helped me differentiate the prototype tools as well as creating a more engaging look
Illustrations
I created these conceptual illustrations to give the app a more engaging look. The illustrations are based on geometric shapes and complemented with some of the assets I created in the past for the “Platform of Joy” project
