Preparation Tips for Various Competitive

Everyone who is running aspires to win, but a few acknowledge the cruciality of preparation in achieving the ace. A lot has always been spoken around the world about various tricks and tactics on how to prepare for any exam. The easier it appears the tougher it gets to implement, is a misconception that is required to be changed. It’s high time to stop occupying your brain with merely sitting, thinking and enhancing the anxiety, the need of the hour is to plan and act calmly towards achieving what you dream of. The question: what is the idle preparation methodology? may arise. To which the answer is there is none rather there are many out of which you need to opt one best for you, implement it and prove it to be the idle. A mentor could only present or give you the tips for its assistance. Below are few such important tips to keep in mind throughout your preparation journey:

#1 Set and Stick to Your Vision:

“Don’t let others tell you what you can’t do. Don't let the limitations of others limit your vision. If you can remove your self-doubt and believe in yourself, you can achieve what you never thought possible"-Roy T Bennett

The above stated quotation by Roy T Bennett is perfect to understand how important to make a vision, stick to it and not lose it throughout the journey by trusting self. Often it’s said not everyone who starts, ends up reaching the destiny. The difference is students usually lose the vision somewhere in the middle of the journey due to the dearth of patience and self-trust, which develops when their vision is hindered by the sight of others, the way others look them or their journey. Nobody except you understands your journey better than you. So the important thing to inculcate in the preparation is trusting self, which would let you stick to your vision until you become the dream achiever.

"If you can’t fly, then run, if you can’t walk run, then walk, if you can’t walk, then crawl, but by all means keep moving" – Martin Luther King Jr.

The quote is very prevalent among various toppers who themselves have followed and implemented it in their journey of ace. A lot of them suggests that consistency is the mother of success. The one who understands it, implements it, reaches the destiny bit smoothly. Consistency keeps you focused. While staying consistent, the burden of accumulating a lot to study in a short span may be avoided. To stay consistent a student needs to develop self-resistance towards the various sources of distractions. Consistency is not practising for a day or two which follows a long gap. Try to do your preparations daily, if not possible to stick to the regular fixed preparation schedule on a day , do a bit amendment but do not skip it. Consistency will help you to build the bridge of your dreams slowly and steadily without making you anxious.

#3 Take A step at A time:

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step" -Lao Tzu

Adding a bit more to the above quote, the journey of a thousand miles does begin with one step but do not complete by taking a leap. Each and every step in a journey is vital where none could be skipped. While preparing for any exam a student needs to be firm on not trying to walk or jump to the next level of completion without being adept in one, it could be achieved with holding on to patience and believing that success does take bit time. Simultaneously, one should avoid being too multi-tasking. Multi-tasking is good but when it’s over done, creates fuss. So, being calm and composed at every step do the preparations with clarity rather than in a hurry doing a lot and creating a mess.

#4 Understand the Importance of Revision and Practice:

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit” -Aristotle

The precious words by Aristotle, must be implemented if one is keen to achieve the dream. To excel in what one is undertaking, one needs to understand the importance of revision and practice. The hard work goes in vain if doesn’t consist of revision and practice. Whatever is studied should be revised as many times as possible and required to retain the studied content. Once the process of retention is done, practice and analyse it through various sets of questions and mock tests. It will help you to overcome the anxiety that arises due to self-doubt about retention.

#5 Relax and Enjoy the Journey:

"Aim for the sky, but move slowly, enjoying every step along the way. It is all those little steps that make the journey complete" -Chanda Kochha

The journey is indeed very crucial but without enjoying it, it will be difficult to bypass it. Hence, in your journey to crack a competitive exam, find your ways to enjoy it without hindering the preparation.
