About this Presentation

This presentation was created for HIST 402A, the Introduction to Public History course at California State University, Fullerton, taught in fall 2019 by Margie Brown-Coronel, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of History.

The objective is to introduce students to some of the ways in which public historians and the larger cultural heritage field are using digital technologies to preserve history and bring history to life for the public.

The Presenter

Colleen Greene, MLIS, is the Digital Literacy Librarian at the Pollak Library, at California State University, Fullerton.

Colleen is also a college instructor, professional genealogist, historian, college educator, and web developer. She is a technology evangelist who is passionate about helping others learn how to utilize digital tools and strategies to enhance their research, learning, and teaching.

She is an avid participant, champion, and educator in the fields of digital history and the public digital humanities.
