A Glance At the Cobras

The Coker University men's and women's cross country team will look to compete in the Charleston Classic on Saturday (Oct. 5). Race time for the men is slated for 9:00 a.m., and the women will follow at 9:45 a.m.

The Cobras will be looking to take advantage of the upcoming race as the South Atlantic Conference cross country championship is only a few weeks away. With many runners from both the men's and women's teams posting their collegiate best in last week's race the team looks to build on that as they move forward.

Runner to Watch

Riley is a sophomore from Newcastle, Maine. Cushing has been a key runner for the Cobras this season. In the last time out for the Cobras he placed first He ran his personal best at the Queens City Invitational on Friday (Sept. 27) with a time of 29:14. This was a three minute improvement from the first race this season.

Runner to Watch

Chauntress Like is Junior from Westerville, Ohio. Like came in first for the Cobras in the Queens City Invitational on Friday (Sept. 27) where she also ran her collegiate best with a time of 20:09.
