The Lower Yuba River Tour offers fly anglers the needed information to be successful on future endeavors. The Yuba is a river that many have found hard to learn and to fish due to its highly educated trout and unique make up. It’s a river that can be very challenging, and at times the fish have “spring creek” behavior, refusing your offerings, and leaving anglers in frustration.
Jon Baiocchi and Lance Gray will lead a small group of anglers along the river, pointing out access areas, fishing techniques, rigging, proper equipment, intro to entomology, and working with anglers on the water with casting, or learning new techniques. Other topics that will be shared are reading the water, dry fly stalking techniques, and fly selection needed for the wary Lower Yuba River rainbows.
The tour includes transportation, a riverside lunch, beverages, and snacks during the day. Handouts for the tour will include maps, access areas, flies, rigging setups, recommended equipment, and special features with helpful hints that pertain to the fishery. A complete list of all the equipment that is needed will be attached to the confirmation package upon securing your date.
The fee to a higher understanding of the Lower Yuba River is $145 per guest for the one day tour - limited to 6 anglers.
