RIDING last week
Mount Holyoke returned to the ring on Sunday, taking part in the UMass Show, hosted at Muddy Brook Farm. The Lyons came away victorious for the fourth straight time, earning High Point honors with 34 points to hold off Smith College. Junior Indra Rapinchuk-Souccar (pictured left) was named the show's Intermediate High Point Rider - an honor she also earned last week.
SQUASH last week
The Lyons opened their season in style last week, defeating Fordham University (9-0), Georgetown University (9-0) and Vassar College (9-0) at the Vassar Round Robin. There were multiple victories across the ladder for MHC, including first year Mihiliya Kalahe Arachchige, who won all three of her matches from the top position.
hoops opens season this week
Under the direction of first year head coach, Jackie Ward, the Lyons basketball team kicks-off its 2018-19 season this week. MHC will host Bay Path on Thursday, followed by another home match on Saturday against Southern Vermont. The Lyons return eight student-athletes from last year's roster, including junior Katlyn Grover, who led the team in scoring with 12.6 points per contest.
