"Graphic Design, if you wield it effectively, is Power. Power to transmit ideas that change everything." - Chip Kidd

The ZEN tangle Project

Notan is a Japanese term which literally means "light dark harmony". Artists use "notan studies" to explore different arrangements of light and dark. We used this concept as inspiration for our project.

The Still Life Project

The Still Life drawing has been used by artists for centuries as a method to practice drawing from real life; however, artists can also use a still life drawing or painting to communicate a deeper message.

The Shattered Image Project

Drawing is more than copying a subject. Artists use images to tell stories, and stories can transform our view of how we see the world. Drawing from imagination starts with studying the things we are most familiar with in life.
