Competing for a spot to go to the National Craft Competition.

What made you decide to pursue a career in construction?

"I know plumbing is a great field to be in and there are not too many dedicated young guys in the construction field. I want to be part of the future."

What does it take to be a successful apprentice?

"It takes dedication, focus and sometimes sacrifice to be a successful plumbing apprentice. You need to concentrate and learn as much as possible."

Would you recommend a career in the trades to a friend?

"I do recommend a career in the plumbing field because it’s an expansive trade that requires a lot of different positions. If you stay focused, there is a lot of upward potential for your career and finances."

What is the most valuable thing you have learned through your apprenticeship experience?

"The most valuable thing I’ve learned throughout my apprenticeship program is to give it my all and great things will come as a reward."

What are the best and most challenging parts of your day?

"The best part is satisfying the bosses with the work completed. The most challenging is when things don't go as planned."

How do you feel about being selected to compete for the national craft competition?

"I feel proud of being selected to compete in the local competition. The people around me are seeing how much work I put in and it is paying off. My company has always been there for me and I am so proud to represent them. It’s just another way of saying thank you for what they have done for me."
