Girls Basketball Defeat Milton in Home Opener By chloe patel

The Rebels defeated the Milton Wildcats 51-41 in their home opener on Jan. 18, moving to 6-5 on the season. On Tuesday, they fell to Needham. Their next game is Friday against Framingham. Junior Elisabeth Roche and freshman Natalie Griffin led the team in points, scoring 16 and 13 points, respectively, in Friday night's game.

"Getting our first win in awhile after a rough stretch and this game being our home opener led to great energy and effort," said Roche. "We know we have to win the majority of our games in the second half of our season to make the tournament and the game was a good step towards that goal."
