MY WEEK IN HAWAII BY: rOSA aDAMS

Hawaii - Feb 2018

I simply wanted to celebrate my 39th birthday somewhere else. So I choose Honolulu, Hawaii of all places. There were a sale on Hawaiian Airlines, I was working during the holidays, and I can use a whole new atmosphere. So why not. I always wanted to go to Hawaii anyway and it's cheaper to get there in California.

I was supposed to leave for Hawaii 2-11-2018. Instead I left 2-12-2018. Why? I missed my frigging plane. I would like to say "How irresponsible." but I wasn't. You see my plane left at 8:55 on Sunday. I woke up, left my place three hours early with my stuff already packed. I didn't know that the BART was scheduled to run at 8 in the morning instead of 6 as always during the weekdays. This one little tid bit would have saved me a lot of trouble but hey, I learned the hard way.

Lucky for me the ticket lady set me up for a next day flight and I ended up staying overnight at the airport just so I wouldn't make the mistake of missing my plane. I like to mention the good thing about video games - it help calm my nerves and I'm not so board or stress. Anyway, the following day I got on my place and headed off for Honolulu, Hawaii. ALOHA!!

On my very first day I met these guys. Different people from other parts of the world. Elsa, Nathan, David, and Allen.

I'm glad I met these guys
Having a moment
Some kind of monument

For the week I went to the beach, partied met more people and went crazy on my birthday. Cheap drinks (okay so I had mostly water since there was no cider.) and a lot of dancing. Yup, a lot of dancing.

Having a great birthday with crazy drinking buddies.

Drinks, drinks and more drinks.

Beer, Bitches, and Beaches. Mahalo! It's Hawaii Baby!!

ALOHA!

For the rest of the week I took the bus around Hawaii. I don't drive (I don't know why. If I was smart would get my drivers licence. I'll work on it later) so I took the 55 up to another beach around the island. It's a surfer's dream and another tourist trap but it was worth going to.

The rooster was too camera shy.
She sells seashells by the seashore.
Lots and lots of seashells

The next day I went to the Honolulu Zoo somewhere in Waikiki. For 20 bucks why not see some wildlife. Chill out and watch a few elephants. Unfortunately all the animals were in they're caves and/or some lounging somewhere. No excitement but, hey, the coy fish were nice to watch.

The majestic giraffe.
Yikes! Stripes!
Just watching the elephants.

All in all, I loved Hawaii and would go back in a heart beat. It's worth going there just for the beaches and atmosphere. Just not anytime soon. I have my eye to visit relatives in Central America.

Mahalo!
