Baseball in Baronian's Life

Baseball is at the very center of Baronian's universe. As his solitary sport, Baronian has been fully focused on playing ball since the very beginning.

"I've been playing [baseball] since as long as I can remember, so like probably four or five years old," Baronian said.

Baronian's dedication to the game is no secret, either. His work ethic and the resulting on-field production have received praise from Pascack Valley coach Will Lynch.

"Mason eats, sleeps and drinks baseball. He is one of the hardest workers around," Lynch said. "He has played great defense for us and continues to swing the bat well, day in day out."

A Season to Remember

It's been a stellar season for Valley so far, averaging over nine runs per game, and being one win away from clinching the Big North National division title.

"As a team right now, I don't think we could be playing any better, " Baronian said.

Stepping Up to the Plate

Baronian has been a big contributor to the team's performances this season. When Valley has needed him most, Baronian rarely lets them down.

"I feel like I've helped the offense a lot," Baronian stated. "Especially in the first inning, I've come up with the bases loaded probably five or six times this year, and I feel like I came through [in] most of those at-bats."

What the Future Holds

Although Baronian is entering his final months as a PV student, his baseball journey is far from over.

"Next year I'm playing baseball at Pace [University]," Baronian said.

Next time Baronian and this red-hot Valley baseball team are in action, they face Paramus at home on Friday at 4:15 p.m.
