Restless Mountain Bluegrass Band Live - at Black eyed sally's

“There’s a well beaten path…,” goes the song.

In this case, it’s the one that leads part-time musicians to find a common passion that brings as much joy to them as it does to those who appreciate their music.

Clockwise: Jerry Devokaitis(vocals and guitar), Matt Fleury(vocals and banjo), Dave Aston(bass) and Scott Camara(resophonic guitar).

It’s probably more than 30-years since some of us first started bumping into one another at local jam sessions.

Many jams, bands and configurations later, we're sharing the joy as the Restless Mountain Bluegrass Band.

Each of us brings our own style to the band and we learn from each other. There are no divas here.

As a band we play at music festivals, local bars, concert halls and restaurants, and the occasional wedding or business function. Our musical menu is a consistent offering of warmth, joyfulness and pure bluegrass.

The customary lyrics of our songs, rich with life’s lamentations, are occasionally interrupted by more uplifting celebrations of life, and samplings of the gospel traditions at the root of bluegrass.

The mountain in our name is a nod to the origins of the music, and the restlessness of the hills is a figurative reference to one of life’s driving and complex sensations.

One frequently at the heart of a tune in the experience we call bluegrass.
