Golfer Lee Kyoung-hoon Barely Squeaks in to Next Month's U.S. Open

Golfer Lee Kyoung-hoon will soon head to San Diego to compete in next month's U.S. Open.

He earned an exemption from the major's entry qualifications by ranking 60th in the Official World Golf Ranking released on Tuesday.

Players in the top 60 as of two weeks 토토사이트추천 the tournament are fully exempt from qualifying unless they otherwise secure a place in the event. Lee is one of 27 players to earn the ranking exemption for this year's U.S. Open scheduled to be held from June 18 to 21.

Lee jumped to No. 59 from No. 137 in the world rankings last week after winning his first career PGA Tour victory at the AT&T Byron Nelson on May 16. However, he only just squeaked in to the U.S. Open as his ranking dropped to 60th after he missed the cut at the PGA Championship on Monday.

Two other Korean golfers, Im Sung-jae and Kim Si-woo, will also compete at the tournament.
