The Rainbow: a meteorological phenomenon rainbow science experiments

At first we thought about what we know about the rainbow. We quickly realized that at the end of the rainbow, no goblin is waiting with a pot of gold. So we wanted to know how the colours are created in the sky and started experimenting to make light visible.

We tried to break the light of the flashlight into the spectral colours in a glass bowl filled with water and a mirror. So we found out which colours are in the rainbow and in which order they appear.

However, it was difficult to imitate a rainbow with the experimental setup. It was easier with a compact disk.

Next we wanted to find out where to stand to see a rainbow.

But the sun did not shine bright enough. So we had to ask Youtube.

After documenting our results, we presented them to the other classes at the Children's Conference.
