What to Expect From RESEO Conferences

RESEO

The European Network for Opera, Music and Dance Education

For over 20 years, RESEO has been the unique European network for education, participation and creative learning in opera and dance.

From large opera organisations to small companies, our members are driven by the desire to widen access, awaken curiosity, and create a connection with opera and dance for everyone!

Spread across 25 countries in Europe and beyond, RESEO’s members form a diverse yet coherent network, experimenting with new concepts, sharing ideas, learning and working together. The network supports them in their overarching aim to firmly anchor opera into their local contexts and enhance their communities’ sense of ownership.

A catalyst for development in the sector, RESEO creates a unique European working space, providing tools such as thematic conferences, invitations to innovative projects, specialist trainings, promotion of opera for children, research studies and publications.

RESEO SPRING CONFERENCE 2018

Bern

RESEO’s Spring Conference 2018 in partnership with Konzert Theater Bern invites you to shift your perspective and take a look at arts education from a range of different viewpoints, taking stock of the variety of initiatives for young adults (16-25) and finding out what works and what doesn’t.

The conference will explore the age group as future audiences and artists, but also include their voices as part of workshops and panel discussions.

What is young people’s relationship to the arts? How can we promote young audience development? How can we ensure that young people’s voices are heard?

The conference will offer a range of formats, including keynote presentations, round table discussions, performances, project examples and workshops.

About RESEO Conferences

"Participating in RESEO’s conferences is a valuable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone in the field of opera-and dance education looking for inspiration, challenges and networking" Birgitte Holt Nielsen, Den Jyske Opera (Denmark)

RESEO conferences are open to all organisations and individuals, whether they are members of the network or not. In a conference format lasting 2 ½ days, the participants are invited to reflect upon a topic which is of importance to their work, to discover the local context of the host organisation, acquire know-how and training via practical workshops, learn about and be inspired by the presentation of the work and projects of their European colleagues, and acquire additional knowledge via keynotes by renown scientific researchers.

""The participation of very diverse structures... allows for a wide variety of points of view and presented projects... A great source of new ideas and an incentive to innovate"" Pauline Lambert, Les Talens Lyriques (France)
