Right in the heart of Downtown Kirkwood, McArthur's Bakery is a hidden gem. While they are well known for their cakes, they also sell coffee. After the coffee was made and poured over a respectable amount of ice, it was time to test. While I personally prefer a stronger coffee flavor, this cup does the job. To start off your summer mornings right, stop in McArthurs and grab a refreshing and energizing iced latte.

The bright yellow doors of Comet Croissanterie & Creamery draw in customers as they wander along Woodbine. Once inside, customers can see the display of homemade ice creams and a kitchen making pastries. While the coffee is not outstanding, the experience of stopping in this small bakery is well worth it.

Stopping in Pioneer Perks is on the daily agenda for many students at KHS. While most teachers grab a hot cup of coffee, most customers order an iced latte (vanilla, mocha or half and half). Although I find these drinks sweet, many students prefer this as an introduction to coffee. At Pioneer Perks, students can stop in and have a short and lively conversation with their peers who serve the coffee.
