BIO:

Jesse Mosher (Born 1977) is an American Artist living and working in France. He has performed in 10 countries for 800 shows since 2001. His performances are a combination of painting, spoken word and story telling welded together with primal energy, making for an intimate and unforgettable Art experience that looks deeper into the history of recorded music. The last 20 years he has made 794 performances ranging from spoken word to hand held plywood paintings, and now with the new musical painting invention: The Guitar Easel. Jesse toured the United States extensively, performance painting in 38 of 50 States between 2005-2017. Since 2015 Jesse has performed 68 shows in 9 other countries : Bosnia, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Slovenia and the UK. Because he performed with multiple bands almost every show, as many as 5 sets a night, Jesse developed a keen sense of timing in keeping up with over 2,000 bands including David Amram, CJ Ramone (54 shows) and The Damned, among many others.

OVERVIEW:

Jesse Mosher is an American Artist, active since 1998, who paints in a new style that is a break from Traditional European painting techniques. His brand of Performance Painting organically incorporates the mechanics and philosophies of Rock N Roll, wrestling, cave painting, and guitar playing. The goal of the work is to convert violence, suffering and rage into a physical performance that generates realistic portraits of powerful Artists, humans and animals. For his entire painting career (the last 2,200 pieces) Jesse has painted on only reused/repurposed plywood panels. This continues with the Guitar Easels which are made by hand from reused vintage Pine and Maple firewood. Currently working and living in Tarare France.
