Bodensee-Königssee Radweg Füssen, bavaria (DAY 2)

It rained overnight and forecast for today was 30% chance of rain. Whilst it looked threatening all day, it held back, but not sure how long our luck will last...

Well we might have missed the coming home of the cows in Ehrwald, but it was all happening in one of the little villages we were passing through during our ride so an unscheduled stop was a must to enjoy the spectacle. Unfortunately due to the big day, we couldn’t stay long, but long enough to hear a local band belt out an ABBA song!

Our support crew lifted their game today and not only provided morning tea, but also supplied us with salad rolls from a local business along the way. Lunch was then followed up by a coffee around the corner at the local cafe that caught out attention with €1 Gelato’s! How could one resist. This was by far the biggest highlight of the trip!

Whilst it was a big day in the saddle and most will sleep well, it was a little easier than yesterday’s ride as it wasn’t so hot. We have however estimated that the bikes hired would tip the scales at 20kg. Built like German tanks!

Today’s facts: Distance covered 75km | Total Ascent 1000+ m | Total ride time 4.5hrs
