we are Lyhre, alternative electronic artists fronted by Anitha (Producer, Singer & Songwriter) and completed by Daniel (Producer) from Berlin.

The music can be subsumed under the genre Indie-Electronica and is rather placed between the chairs of defined categories.

Dark synth textures, unusual compositions and a fragile voice with special melodies reminiscent of the early 90s immediately trigger movement and open a space in which anything is possible and everyone is welcome.

The name derives from the fictional speaker or the voice of the poem and thus their music sees itself more as a narrative than as following the structures of contemporary music.

Anitha serves this interface between new digitalized forms of expression and the intimate, human and analogue with her compositions. In addition to piano, e- guitar and her voice, the two work with analog and soft synthesizers in search of new textures.

DISCOGRAPHY

Floral

Release: 09/04/19

In this track I think the tonal relationship to each other and the asymmetries exciting. It is atmospherically very dark and invites you to weigh yourself in it, for a moment. The vocal is pure and therefore intimate. The Recordings are very raw apart from their spatiality, which is what I was more interested in here.

I eat Pain

Release 02/21/19

Somewhere between Peaches „Fuck the Pain away“ and Kronos, who ate his own children out of fear. Somewhere between Ophelias ecstasy and the coldness of Berlin.

Seirēnes

12/21/18 Trndmsk Records

Seirēnes is a kind of excursion into the Homeric epics and at the same time a very close and intimate feeling of longing into which you can fall.

In the course of this work we had dealt with Greek mythology as well as the symbolic power of the siren, which gave rise to these synthesizer sounds, somewhere between the feeling of an entire orchestra being submerged in water and the clear, almost steel sound bordering on pain.

In the midst of it the seemingly incessant repetition of the vocal, a verse, somehow isolated. In these few words she already tells a large part of this whole. Seirenes is a narrative, but not a heroic song.

Perhaps it's a lingering echo, an echo of all the stories so often revived, told by the siren itself.
