Route 613 over South Fork Shenandoah River Bentonville, Virginia

Princeton, West Virginia

(304) 425-8955

“Precast box beams were not only the right structural solution on this project, but also simplified erection in a restricted access environment. Certainly, the use of prestressed/precast box beams provides the most pleasing, almost natural look, in a naturally beautiful and pristine environment. Well done!!"

Howard Winters, VP Civil Development - Kanawha Stone Company

The project is located on Route 613 (Indian Hollow Road) in the Bentonville, Virginia area. The project included replacing a substandard bridge over the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. The old low water bridge was built in 1923, and was 266 feet long with a single 11 foot wide lane. The new two-lane bridge is 34 feet wide and 320 feet long. This project was funded with Federal Forest Highway Funds.
