The 25th Edition of the YES Group European Health & Safety Seminar is a dynamic forum for health, safety, security and crowd management professionals. Providing an opportunity to raise important issues and to disseminate innovative practice, the seminar focuses on the development of a safety culture at both new and established events and festivals.

Featuring a full programme, shown below, of specially invited speakers, the YES Group European Health & Safety Seminar will provide panels, create opportunities to share information from this years summer festivals and encourage the development of relationships between events.

Members of the group will also be given the opportunity to influence the content of future YES Group European Health & Safety Seminars.

Day one - 17th January

Led by Henrik Nielsen and the YES Goup Steering commitee: 25 Seminars with the YES Group - An Open Session: What have we learned and what impact have we had on European festivals?

Fruzsina Szép: The political situation in Europe and what it means to health, safety and crowd management: What does Brexit really mean for European music? Are we growing together whilst the world pulls apart? How can we create synergy in our fields of work?

11.30am

Chris Kemp & Morten Therkildsen: Feedback and analysis from the counter terrorism festival questionnaire: feedback on E3S. Is there a strategy or is it just a scatter gun approach?

Lunch - A chance to network, refresh and reflect on the mornings activities.

Daniel Brunsch: Soft communications the way forward. How to create meaningful communication with the audience.

Andy Mestka & Henrik Nielsen: Generation Y: A rerun of the fascinating panel a year ago where students ages 13-16 were given a chance to make the audience aware of how their consumer habits differed from festival notions of the way in which the new audience interact with the festival environment.
