Well-being is the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy.
Well-being is influenced by everything in life.
Mindfulness is a way to focus your awareness on the present moment, and acknowledge your feelings. You can't always choose or change the circumstances, but you can influence how you react to them. Being mindful can be a boost to well-being.
Think about how it feels to be sick. Illness, pain, and and other physical ailments often impact a person's well-being because they can keep you from doing the things you enjoy.
Regular exercise, eating a balanced diet, and avoiding alcohol, tobacco, and vaping can have lasting positive effects on a person's well-being.
What are some key ways to promote well-being?
Connect with people
Talking to people, making new friends, and listening are all great ways to enhance your well-being and the well-being of people around you.
Move your body
Find an activity that you enjoy and move your body. Don't forget to stretch! Exercise releases endorphins and makes you feel better.
Practice mindfulness
Take the time to enjoy the moment and your environment. Reminding yourself to take notice can strengthen and broaden your awareness.
Never stop learning
Learn something new. Read a book, start a new hobby, challenge yourself! Lifelong learning enhances self-esteem and can fight depression.
Give back
