3rd Annual CCH Invitational
The CC of Darien | October 1
Started in 2016 by Greg Hickey, the CCH Invitational serves as a very special event paying tribute to his twin brother Chris. Hickey Named Scholarship in particular, from which six caddie scholars currently receive increased scholarship assistance.
Our Scholars
A total of 73 students joined the class of 2018; a total of 271 young men and women who caddie and work in service to golf from 65 Westchester area clubs and golf affiliations were awarded more than $1 million in scholarship aid this year from the WGA Caddie Scholarship Fund. A full list of 2018 scholarship recipients can be found here.
Your Support
This year the Fund recognized several clubs and individuals for their significant contributions to the program in 2017. Five Westchester area clubs were awarded the Gold Club Award, having made contributions to the Fund of $50,000+. Sleepy Hollow and Scarsdale were recognized as the Willie Turnesa Outstanding Club Contributor and the Special Club Contributor, respectively. Anthony Sileo, Caddie Manager at Tamarack Country Club, was the 2017 recipient of the Outstanding Service Award-Caddie Programs. Martin E. Maleska '66, was awarded the Sally Francis Alumni Award. Former WGA CSF president, Rob Rusk, was awarded the Udo Reinach Award of Distinction for his outstanding service and support of the Fund.
The generosity from Westchester area clubs, their members, our friends and our alumni make this program possible. Your support of these deserving young scholars helps pave the way towards a bright academic future.
Thank you for walking, thank you for playing, thank you for giving.
