$Homework - will be work that is not completed in class and will be due upon return the following day. Engagement - Students will receive a weekly engagement grade. A rubric will be kept each week to note infractions, and the student will receive the graded rubric each Monday of the following week, unless they do not receive any infractions. 0 infractions = 100%Absent work - If you know ahead of time you will be absent, it is your responsibility to get your work BEFORE the absence. If I do not have it copied or you will be taking new notes for the assignment, then I will let you know to come in the next day. You can come in the morning or after school to get caught up. Student choice!I will be available at 7:40-7:55am and 3:35 – 4:15pm for extra help on corrections. I will meet for lunch as well if you make an appointment.We will have several quizzes and tests throughout the year, as well as occasional projects. Upon entrance to the classroom, students are to turn of phones and place in their designated spot. At the end of class, students will retrieve their phone. If a student does not turn their phone in and it is visible by the teacher, the phone will be taken up and the phone will be turned into the office for cell phone violation. Students MAY NOT put another student’s phone in the holder or remove another student’s phone from the holder. Doing so could result in punishment according to the handbook regarding taking other people’s property. Turn in homework to the proper classroom basket. Be in your seat and working on the Daily Adventure (DAD) for the day. Have all needed materials out for the day. If you were absent, check your class absent folder for missed work and check with classmates or me. Pick up around your desk area before you leave. The teacher will dismiss you - not the bell. Do Not begin to pack up your stuff until told to do so. Be better for the sub, than you are for me. I expect Respect and Success! Restroom - will be allowed to go as needed unless it becomes a constant daily issue. Please try to go between class or ask at the very beginning or end of class.Grading Policy Daily work 50% Engagement 30%.
