immigration by nevaeh lemus

this year 2017 immigration is effecting us more then last year. today my family is scared because we dot want my step-dad to get deported,my step-dad is an illegal immigrant himself to. to me this will effect me a lot even though i didn't love him like i do now because i already know how it feels to lose someone that is really close to you, and i don't want to lose another person that's been there for ever since my real dad got deported.

The 1965 Immigration Act was largely responsible for that shift. No law passed in the 20th century altered the country’s demographic character quite so thoroughly. But its effects were largely inadvertent. The law’s biggest impact on immigration patterns resulted from provisions meant to thwart its ability to change much at all. it was also very easy to come into the U.S and easy to get taken out.

in 50 years i think that immigration will be different
