A Message from our Principal
Dear Parents,
December is here! We will be halfway through the school year before you know it! The students' academic achievement continues to be our primary focus. We are also grateful for our hard working staff, students, and families at Westwind. Thank you for supporting our efforts to ensure students achieve great things.
This month is surely once of the most exciting months of the year for most of our children. It is a time for all of us to teach our students to be thankful an show them the value of generosity and kindness. This is also the month in the school year that we have the most days out of school. So as we approach our winter break, I want to remind all of our scholars and families how important it is to spend time each day reading. Please take the time over the winter break to enjoy family time, but PLEASE do not forget to have your child read over the break! We appreciate and thank you for your continued support in all our endeavors to ensure your child's academic success. Happy Holidays!

Queridos padres,
¡Diciembre esta aquí! ¡Estaremos a la mitad del año escolar antes de que lo sepamos! El rendimiento académico de los estudiantes continúa siendo nuestro enfoque principal. También estamos agradecidos por nuestro personal, estudiantes y familias trabajadoras en Westwind. ¡Gracias por apoyar nuestros esfuerzos para asegurar que nuestros estudiantes logren grandes cosas!
Este mes seguramente es uno de los meses más emocionantes del ano para la mayoría de nuestros niños. Es un momento para todos nosotros para ensenarles a nuestros estudiantes a ser agradecidos y mostrarles el valor de la generosidad y la bondad. Look what happened in November
On November 9th we honored our Veterans. Our day began with a morning salute with the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance led by our Westwind Veterans. We had the privilege of attending an assembly where we heard from Veterans and their experiences. Lastly we were able to share our lunch time with our families at our annual Veteran's BBQ.
El 9 de noviembre honramos a nuestros veteranos. Nuestro día comenzó con un saludo matutino con el Himno Nacional y la Promesa de Lealtad dirigida por nuestros Veteranos de Westwind. Tuvimos el privilegio de asistir a una asamblea donde escuchamos a los Veteranos y sus experiencias. Finalmente, pudimos compartir nuestro tiempo de almuerzo con nuestras familias en nuestra barbacoa anual para veteranos.
