The benefits of Twitter in the classroom.

Tweets are short and to the point. Easy for parents and students to read.

Most parents and students have Twitter on a mobile device so they have access to it at all times.

Good way to send out reminders for test, quizzes or forms that need to be signed.

Great way to increase communication between parents and students by posting activities and photos of events happening at school. How many times do parents ask, "What did you do today?" And the middle school students will reply, "nothing". Posting events on Twitter is a great way to open up direct communication on events that are taking place at school or in my classroom.
