Gas masks should be used during the war because there are many deadly gases being used. Also, it can protect you from dying if there was poisonous gas thrown in your trenches. It is also a good thing to use to prevent diseases in the air from getting to your lungs.

ENTRENCHING TOOL

You should bring a entrenching tool because then if you would under attack, you can dig a hole to take cover. You can also use this to protect yourself against enemy fire. Lastly, this tool can help dig your way into enemy bases to blow up their army forces.

MEDICAL PACK

You should most definitely bring a medical pack because you will easily get shot during the war. And if you don't have any help health equipment, you will die. Also, you should bring this because in the long run, you may save another person's life.

Steel Helmets

During war, you can get shot almost everywhere on your body. The two most important places where you should get shot is your head and your heart. That is why steel helmets were used during WWI. They also used them to distract/trick the enemy forces into shooting the helmets.

Rifle

During war, you always need to have a weapon of you, so that if an enemy person tries attacking you, you can protect yourself. You can also use it in close up combat. Lastly, "rifles were generally issued to officers rather than regular soldiery" ("Weapons Of").
