The show featured Lewis-Collier Smith, Annie-Mae McGhee, Olivia Short and Will Morris from Year 10 and Morgan Wheeldon and Bailey Jones from Year 11, in the lead roles. However the cast – which had 42 students in all - was made up from students from all year groups.
“The cast should be so proud of themselves, with so many words to learn, dance moves to perfect, let alone all those fantastic songs to sing,” said Mrs Evans, from the Performing Arts Department.
“Everyone who took part has put so much effort into making it such a wonderful show. They should be really pleased with their achievements. They deserve a good break – thankfully half term should provide that!”
Talking after the show, Mr Tonks, Wilnecote Head Teacher said, “Shows like this don’t happen by chance; months of planning and hard work has gone in to this, with contributions from so many students, staff and volunteers, both on the stage and behind the scenes. There is a real buzz around school and for those who are taking part you simply can’t put a price on the value and experience that the students will gain from being in something like this. It’s tremendous!”
