gold Young ambassador ConferenceCardiff City Stadium, Cardiff 21/10/16
It was an early start for our gold young ambassadors as we headed to the cardiff city stadium for the 2016 National Gold Ambassador Conference
THE AIM OF THE CONFERENCE IS TO BRING ALL GOLD AMBASSADORS TOGETHER AND SHARE GOOD PRACTICE.
DURING THE DAY AMBASSADORS GoT THE OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND A NUMBER OF WORKSHOPS TO help them improve participation numbers in their school & community and inspire them to become leaders within their local authority.
The conference was organised by the National Young Ambassador Steering Group made up of Platinum Young Ambassadors from all over Wales.
Our very own Cerys Vick, Lauren Holmes and Molly Caulfield were a key part of this steering group, and not only helped with the planning of the day, but they ran their own workshops and even presented segments of the conference
Our Physical Literacy Coordinator, Huw Evans, also presented at an officer workshop about the work that's currently happening across wales
As well as workshops ran by the Platinum Ambassadors, the ya's were fortunate enough to meet Olympic Swimmer Tom Haffield & Professional England Rugby Player Danielle Waterman who also ran workshops on the day
they also managed to squeeze in a few pictures with them!
before leaving the conference, the Young Ambassadors had created their own pledge specifically for conwy.
After discussing as a group, our Platinum & Gold Ambassadors decided that their pledge was 'AIM'
aspire + inspire + motivate
After an inspiring trip to Cardiff, our Young Ambassadors are now excited with all the new ideas they have and we look forward to see how they can go back to their schools and communities and AIM to inspire others.
