Humans of Greenhills a.k.a HoGH

Welcome to the 2016-17 school year's first edition of Humans of Greenhills! Based off of the Humans of New York project, by Brandon Stanton, HoGH is an ongoing segment in of the Alcove that interviews the, as implied by the name, humans of Greenhills. The section was originally started by Gabi Levy and Phoebe Kim, a part of the class of 2018, in their 9th grade year at Greenhills. Each of the people below agreed to being asked a random, sometimes strange question and to being photographed, so thank you to those of you featured in this edition!

"Do we have to sound interesting?"

What's your favorite board game?

"Hero Scape." "Monopoly."
"Chutes and Ladders. It represents the social mobility that represents America. No, the plight of the middle class in America. You work hard, work your way up, and then you roll a 1 and fall down a ladder to the beginning again."

What are you looking forward to most over break?

"Sleeping, if I'm honest." "Visiting all my colleges."

What are you eating?

"Noodles." "And Five Guys." "And company."

What kind of calculator do you have?

"It's not mine, it's Dr. Gatlin's. I lost mine... There's a calculator thief."

What's your biggest fear?

"Probably the literal end of the world because of... SOMEBODY..."

"What's your favorite part about being a teacher?"

"The funny stories from the kids."

"What are you watching?"

"Baby Daddy. *pause* But don't say that. Say like, Jane the Virgin or something... No, not that either. Say Friends. Yeah. Say Friends."

What are you doing?

"I have to clean this lunch room."

Why did you pick this outfit today?

"Cuz FASHION."

Do you mind if I take a picture of you?

"Wait wait. I can't pose if you tell me to. What do we do?"
