At the end of World War 2, the East Asian country of Korea came under control of the United States and the Soviet Union.

General McArthur promised and assured that neither the Soviet Union or China would enter the war.

By January 1951, the Communist had captured Seoul, South Korea's capital.

Talks about the end of the Korean War began July 1951.

Nearly 2 million Koreans and Chinese were killed by the end of the war.
