As it turns out, I have a lot of values that I hold onto pretty closely
It is really weird cutting out some of the values that I care about, trying to get to the ones that are most important to me.
It really started getting difficult cutting out my values here, as it started getting to topics that I care the most about.
These are my final 5 values, they can all intertwine with each other, and they are all connected.
The most important value to me is family. Without my family, I wouldn't hold any of my other values.
The value that ends up being the most important to me is family. Without my family I would have no feelings toward these other values. My family has molded me into who I am, and I am happy that they have helped me along my way. For this reason both my short term and long term goals revolve around my family. Both my current family, and my future family.
My short term goal is to finish of the year strong, and to do well in my summer courses. I realize that these courses will help me in my own career and life down the road, but what is even more important to me is the help that it will bring my family. This will occur in a variety of ways. Of course getting good grades and getting scholarships will be beneficial economically to my family, but it will mean so much more as well. They will be happy to see me being successful, and doing well in what I am doing. Giving them this joy will be something that drives me to being the best I can be, and meeting all of my goals.
My long term goal also centers around family. Because family is the most important value in my life now, I don't see that changing in the future either. I want to raise a family of my own some day, raising my kids just like I was raised, and the rest of my family. I want to teach them the same values that I was taught, and I want to keep the family going. I want to have three kids one day, with a wife, and immediate family nearby. I want to be able to provide for them, and have them live comfortably with friends and family around to help them develop and grow. I want to be working at a job that I love, being outdoors and helping nature and people, especially the combination of the two coinciding with each other, with benefits for both parties. While my plan to get there may not be detailed yet, my goals are outlined, and are in my mind now, even as I take it one day at a time.
