P.T Barnum Cale Gowen

P.T. Barnum was born on July 5, 1810 in Bethel, Connecticut. When he was twelve he was selling lottery tickets and home made cherry rum to soldiers. He later moved to New York City as a young man and sold/published news papers. in 1841 Barnum opened Barnum's American Museum. Later, in 1868 Barnum's American Museum burned down and Barnum decided to take his show on the road. In 1887 Barnum sign over everday operations to James Bailey and it became Barnum & Bailey's Greatest show on earth. Barnum died April 7, 1891 in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

P.T Barnum was a scam artist who exploited people stupidity and tricked them into believing many things. Then created Barnum's American Museum. He got an assortment of regular people and made others believe they were weird and mystifying. Later he made the P.T. Barnum's Grand Traveling Museum, Menagerie, Caravan, and Circus.
