Quote:

At the age of eighteen ,he married Anne Hathaway, who was eight years older than he was was. Sometime after birth of their second and third children( they had twins) shakespeare moved to london leaving his family in stratford.(ravilious kate).

Paraphrase:

This makes sense because it talking about during the middle of his life what happened . Also it talked about who he married and how many kids he had. One more thing it talk about were he moved after stratford. Yes i did get i all because i talked about what happen during the middle of his life who he married and such.

My Ideas:

This fits because I knew that he left stratford to go to london. But I did not know that he had twins and one child. I also just found out that he married Anne hathaway. What i would like to know is why did he leave his family.

Quote:

"Shakespeare’s parents belonged to what today would be called the middle class. John Shakespeare, William’s father, was a glove maker who owned a shop in the town of Stratford-upon-Avon"(Jesse Lander).

Paraphrase:

This quote to me shows how he grew up in Stratford with his parents into a middle class. His dad a glove maker who own a shop in avon and shakepeare was a respetctable man in the town.

My Ideas:

This fits with what i know by i knew that shakespeare was recetable man and that his dad was a glove maker. Also i new that he for awhile was in the law. But i wonder why did not he get into the the glove making bussines.

Quote:

"Henry V received four Academy Award nominations, including best picture and best actor for Olivier. He also received a special Academy Award for outstanding achievement as an actor, producer, and director of the film"(seidel michael).

Paraphrase:

I understand this because it talks about how later his play(turned into a video) got an academy award for best actor, and best picture. Also it recived an academy award for best actor, producer, and director. Looking at the quote I did get it all because it talks about shakespeares late life.

My Ideas:

This fits with my thinking because I knew that the play by shakespeare got an academy award for the the pictures. But I did not know that the actors the an award for best acting. I want to find out why the platy got an award.

Quote:

"In 1594 Shakespeare became an actor and playwright for the Lord Chamberlain's Men, the company that later became the King's Men, which were funded under king James himself"("william").

Paraphrase:

This shows his middle life because its talking about what he did as he was older and getting into the theater life. The quote makes sense because it talk about how he joined the actors and found a passion in writing plays but, also said with the group his whole writing life.

My Ideas:

This fits because the Quote talks about he became interested in writing plays. What i knew about Shakespeare is that he wrote plays that were very successful. But what i wonder is why did he find a passion on writing plays for people.

Quote:

"Henry V is a five-act historical play by the English dramatist William Shakespeare. Its full title is King Henry V . It was written and performed in 1599, possibly the first Shakespeare play staged at the Globe Theater"(Michael Seidel).

Paraphrase:

Yes I understand this because it talks about were he preformed the play and what it was about. Also it talks about what title it was call "Henry V". Looking back at the quote it does make sense because it say what the play's title was and were it was presented.

My Ideas:

This fits with what I know because I knew that his plays were in the globe theater. But I did not know that he made the play"Henry V". What I want to look up on is what it was about.

Quote:

By 1569, traveling companies of professional actors were performing in Stratford. Stratford also held two large fairs each year, which attracted numerous visitors from other counties. For young Shakespeare, Stratford could thus have been an exciting place to live(Jesse Lander).

Paraphrase:

In my own words this means that when he was a boy, he got to see these people preform, Also it attracted many people from other countries. Also this makes sense because this could of influenced shakespeare into writing plays.

My Ideas:

This fits with what i know because something i his early life had to inspire him to start writing. Why else would he just start to like writing plays. I wonder what those actors and performers did to make want to do writing.

Quote:

William Shakespeare was born in the small market town of Stratford-upon-Avon in 1564, the third of eight children. The register of Holy Trinity, the parish church in Stratford, records his baptism on April 26. According to the custom at that time, infants were baptized about three days after their birth. Therefore, the generally accepted date for Shakespeare’s birth is April 23(Jesse Lander).

Paraphrase:

In my own words this means how Shakespeares early life and how he started. like he was the third child of eight. Also he was registered to the holy Trinity. In this quote I did get it all due to it's his early life.

My Ideas:

This fits with what I know because I knew were he was born in the town of straford. Also I knew when he was born in 1594 in avon. I wonder what was his first job. I want to follow up on what he did.

Quote:

"Romeo and Juliet was problem among the early plays the Shakespeare wrote between 1594 and 1596. In 1612 he returned to stratford to live the life of a prosperous retired gentleman by that time shakespeare had wrote thirty-seven plays"(Robert Anderson).

Paraphrase:

This makes sense because after lots of plays that shakespeare wrote and directed. He finally retired to be with his family in 1612. It is all there because it talks about what happened after he wrote all his plays.

My Ideas:

This fits with what I know because I knew how many plays he made but I didn't know what happened after he retired. I want to find out why he did not make any more plays. I could flow up on what time his death was.

Quote:

"Critics have classed it with Measure for Measure as one of Shakespeare's "problem plays" because it does not seem to fit neatly into any recognized dramatic category. It belongs to the third period of Shakespeare's career as a playwright, when he wrote his great tragedies, including King Lear, Hamlet, Macbeth, and Othello"( wordbook).

Paraphrase:

In my words this says during his darker ages he stared writing about plays that was sad and dramatic. Also he wrote about the great tradgties plays like king lear, hamlet, ext. The quote is all there because it all talks about what was going on in his late life and why he wrote those plays.

My Ideas:

This fits because I knew that there was things going on about what was going on in london that created shakespeare "dark play". What I'm wondering is why did he have to write the dark plays why did he not stay happy.

Quote:

"His feelings may well have been a reaction to the fact that, in 1603, there was an outbreak of plague in London that closed all the theaters for a time. Shakespeare must also have been worried when, in the following year, his patron, the Earl of Southampton, was imprisoned briefly on suspicion of treason, by the authorities of King James I"(world book).

Paraphrase:

This makes sense to be because it is in his later life talking about how there was a plague and it shut down the theater. But then one of his patrons got thrown in jail because of suspected treason by king james I. This fits the quote because it's saying what happened later in his life.

My Ideas:

This fits with what i know because i knew that the was an outbreak in london. It was the black plague that killed many in europe. But I wonder why they shut down the theater. Couldn't they of kept it open.
